Speed Dating is for you if you're looking to meet someone really special or just for fun. In these days where people go out to drink and let their hair down rather than with serious intent, it can fill the gap. Where else can you get the chance to meet between 12 and 30 singles in a safe, risk free environment and check out that vital chemistry before taking things further?
What sort of people go Speed Dating?
Often people who lead busy lives and maybe don't have the time to organise their own social diary or people who want to meet others in a safe, caring, supervised environment, without the risk of rejection.
In short, you will find friendly, upmarket, professional people at a Speed Dating event. These people are normally prepared to cut to the chase and be more interested, approachable and direct when searching for Mr or Ms Right than those you will find at more general "nights out". |

What to expect at an event
Please arrive about 15-30 minutes before the scheduled Speed Dating event start time. You will need to check in and familiarise yourself with the documentation before the start of the event. We always aim to make a punctual start but this would be impossible if everyone arrived at the scheduled start time, so please get your dating evening off to a great start by completing the check in formalities in good time.
Your Host or Hostess
Your Host or Hostess will welcome you as a group, explain the way everything works and will run through how to complete your speed dating documentation. Then the lights will go down, we will turn the music up and the exciting part of the evening will begin.
The Speed Dating Documentation
Everybody is issued with their speed dating documentation on arrival. Your speed dating matchsheet enables you to take notes on the content of each conversation you have on each of your 'mini speed dates'. The sheet is split into two halves, at the end of the event one half is handed in and you keep the other with your notes on. It also gives you some sample questions, just in case you're nervous about running out of conversation.
At the end of the dating evening your choice of match categories on your Speed Dating Matchsheet are:
Date - Meaning you'd like to go out on a date with that person
Friend - Meaning that you like this person but would like to start as friends first
No thanks - Meaning "no" this person is not for me and I don't want to take anything further
Speed Dating Format
For many of you the main purpose of a Speed Dating event is to either meet new friends of both sexes or find that perfect partner. The guys move around the tables every 5 minutes or so and spending a little time with each of the ladies. There are usually two breaks during the evening to give you the chance to mingle, chat and refresh your drink. The bar also usually stays open at the end of the speed dating event to enable you to socialise further.
Feedback
We ask you to complete your Dating Matchsheet very carefully as this is how we will work out who your matches are later. With some speed at our end we can usually get these to you by text or email within 48 hours of your dating event finishing.
