Also why not try Manchester's bohemian quarter. It is fast becoming extremely popular but is relatively undiscovered by the masses and the corporate brands. Here there is an array of predominantly independent bars and restaurants, which are concentrated around the High Street/Thomas Street junction. Taking a stroll back towards the city centre and opposite Deansgate Station you will locate 'The Locks' - a row of trendy and unmarket bars housed in the old railway arches.
