In addition there are award winning comedy clubs that reflect that famous West Midlands sense of humour, theatres and cinema's and entertainment so diverse it's incredible. In addition there are world class acts from the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the Birmingham Royal Ballet opportunities that are not around every day. So if you're a night owl - you really will be presented by a massive choice - and you could party on forever if you wished.

The centre of Birmingham's nightlife is Broad Street which is famous for being the centre of the action and in its own right has almost every type of pub, bar, club or restaurant located on it but it's also worth venturing to, Hurst Street, New Street, The Arcadian and the stylish bars of The Mailbox - all of which are very close by and are within walking distance.

One special mention should probably go to the Island Bar, this is located between the Mailbox and Arcadian Centre. It is an award winning cocktail bar and has been voted as Birmingham's best bar in the past. We also recommend the Revolution Bar in Broad Street, where it's worthwhile checking out the cocktail master classes for the perfect way to get your night out off to a flyer.

We would also recommend the opulent surroundings of the Grosvenor G Casino, situated next door to Revolution. Whether you want to try your hand at the tables or not, it's a great place to relax, with large screen plasma TV's, a stage with frequent tribute acts, a sumptuously furnished restaurant, as well as the gaming tables and slots. When the Music Stops run events at both of these excellent venues.

If you are looking for live music - it is found in abundance in the Jewellery Quarter of Birmingham. Worthy of a mention here is the Jam House - a live music bar whose musical director is the famed Jools Holland. The Jam House is always worth a visit.
