Our Venues

The Ackers is an adventurous activities centre based on a 70 acre green site in Small Heath, Birmingham. They provide the facilities to do sports such as skiing, snowboarding, climbing, abseiling, canoeing, archery, tobogganing and orienteering to name but a few.

All instructors are fully qualified and create a friendly and warm environment in which to learn, play and have fun, whilst trying out new and exciting sports.

Be it recreational skiing on their 100m dry ski slope, practising technique on one of two 30m nursery slopes or trying out your snowboarding tricks on ramps you will be given the chance to try winter sports all year round.

With the River Cole and Grand Union Canal flowing through the site, it is an idela location for canoeing, kayaking or bell boating. These rivers also provide a wonderful natural habitat for many forms of wildlife

We are using Alcester Rugby Club as an alternative venue to Kings Court Hotel when there is a clash of events.

Alcester Rugby Club is situated almost opposite our regular venue of Kings Court Hotel
Situated seven miles from Stratford-upon-Avon, and five miles away from Redditch on the A435 .

I am sure that you will enjoy this friendly & intimate venue with the added attraction of support from Rugby Club Members.
It is anticipated that all events at this alternative venue will include a hot buffet.

This Hotel was built as a coaching inn, and now lends itself to a great place to wine, dine, and entertain. At our dinner dating nights, or luncheons, we are promised a good choice of menu. Leicester, Kettering, Corby & Lutterworth, are all within easy reach. ASK is part of a pizza and pasta chain started by Adam and Samuel Kaye (the name coming from their initials)in 1993. The chain has steadily grown and includes this superb restaurant in Leicester.

The building has been modernised but has retained many of the original features. Although it is situated in the centre of Leicester is can be found on a side street running parallel to High Street and is therefore shielded from traffic noise. Parking is right outside on Silver Street after 6pm.

We will be dining in a private area with a refurbishment planned in March. A glass of wine or soft drink will be served on arrival. A choice of starters will be followed by your choice of main course and dessert. Coffee will then be served.
