We choose a nice venue that is safe but has the right ambiance and atmosphere for you, we put candles on the tables to give it a romantic feel, we try to ensure that the drinks prices are good value and then add a top DJ, some great music and the chance for you to mix, mingle and meet with other singles and dance the night away until the wee small hours.
It's a winning formula and one that has attracted many thousands to our events over the years - so if you're looking for some fun, some great music as well as the chance to make yourself some new mates and maybe meet someone special too, then come and join us!
- We cater for various age groups, so please check out the details of each individual event to make sure it is appropriate for you
- Many of our Party Night's are aimed at the over 30's - as most nightclubs give our younger daters plenty of opportunities of this nature
- Almost everyone that you meet will be single and looking to join you in having a great time - in nightclubs as many as 70% are already in committed relationships
- Some of our events are themed, such as 60's and 70's night, 80'sand 90's night, Soul and Motown night, USA night etc etc
- On occasions we provide a package price, for the evening plus an overnight stay and negotiate on your behalf to provide you with the best possible rate for room and breakfast

What sort of people attend?
We advertise our parties in quality publications both locally and nationally and have one of the busiest Singles dating event websites in the UK with events aimed at professional people in their 30s, 40s and 50s.
Since the usual options and choices of venues are dramatically reduced as you get a little older, these parties are primarily provided for this age group. Whether you're joining us with friends or alone it doesn't matter, you will be made very welcome that's for sure.
What to expect on the night
Our Singles Parties begin typically at 8.30 pm and go on until 12.30/1.00am. We aim to have top quality DJs and play a mixture of retro party sounds from the 70s, 80s, 90s and Naughties along with current chart hits. We also often run a prize music quiz, with competitions, giveaways, 'excuse me' slots and on every table you will find our 'Your Party, Your Music' request form to hand to the DJ so that you can help choose the music for the night too.
A unique guarantee if coming alone
Come and join us at one of our parties with a group of friends or in twos - but if all your circle of friends are currently attached, don't worry you are still very welcome and we have dozens of people who attend singles parties alone. Our events are hosted very professionally, so let us know by phone if you are coming alone and we will immediately introduce you to others on arrival, our unique guarantee is that you won't be on your own for more than a few seconds.
Our venues
Our aim is to ensure that the locations for parties are safe, easy to find and typically the hotel locations that we choose are well known brands such as Best Western, Courtyard Marriott, Hilton or Moathouse. Car Parking is usually free and the room where the Singles Party is held would typically hold around 150 people. Attendances at parties can vary from between 50 and 400 depending on the location and how long it has been established. But however many people attend we ensure it's a great atmosphere and very enjoyable event too.

No membership is required to attend - but all attendees will become members of When the Music Stops for the future and we will provide you with the following:

The Parties Format
The Party starts at around 8.30pm and is often very busy by 9.15pm (twice we have had to close the doors by this time as the room is at full capacity). The bar is open throughout and the evening is made up of music from down the years as well as current chart hits. The lights are low, there are often candles on the tables and the main aim of the evening is a great fun night out and the chance to meet that special someone too we hope. If that's not currently on your agenda, just let your hair down and dance the night away.
Great Party Night DJs
Our DJ's play a very important role in your night out - so we set very high standards and these guys come highly recommended. They are all experienced and mature people, who enjoy playing to a mature audience of people in their 30's, 40's and 50's and their aim is to play the sort of music that YOU want and that is going to keep the dance floor packed all night long.

Feedback
There are no name badges, documentation to complete or boxes to tick as we want our Singles Parties to be as natural as possible and wanted to create a major differential between this and our other dating encounters. If you have been smitten by someone across the dancefloor and don't want to ask for their phone number directly, then call us next day and we would be happy to pass on your phone number to the person concerned, although we would never give out the contact details of someone who has attended our events to someone else without their expressed permission.
