A Romantic Night at a Singles Dance Party in the Boundary Hotel near Derby with The Paul Trussell Show
It was a romantic Night for Rainey Draper and Ivan Keeling, as some 8 weeks after meeting at a Singles Party Night at the Boundary Hotel, South Normanton where the couple have decided to tie the not formally and get married.
Ivan, 54, attended his first When the Music Stops function in October and met Rainey, 42, on that very 1st night, with love blossoming subsequently at a rapid rate. It all culminated at one Party Night, with DJ Paul Trussell stopping the music, whilst Ivan went down on one knee to propose to Rainey, 8 weeks on from that initial meeting in the same hotel. |

Said Ivan “It’s been a bit of a whirlwind really and has caught me very much by surprise as I thought love had passed me by when I got divorced. I had very few expectations when I came to When the Music Stops Singles Party for the first time but that was before I saw Rainey. We got chatting and dancing and happily we have been inseparable ever since and quite quickly I sorted out in my own mind that this is the woman that I wanted to marry”.
He continued “I first told Mike who runs the Party Night on behalf of When the Music Stops, that I was going to marry Rainey after just a couple of weeks – I think he thought I was mad initially. But gradually the idea got stronger in my mind and I was determined to buy the best ring I possibly could and make the arrangements with Mike and Paul Trussell the DJ to create a very special night for Rainey at the Christmas event”.
Mike Parker, Sales Director said “I’m just totally delighted for Ivan and Rainey, our event at the Boundary has become one of our most popular of all during the last year and we are now often attracting towards 200 single people to the Boundary Hotel each Sunday – but this sort of success and the speed with which it has happened has been something special.
Even after hosting more than 2,000 events nationally as far apart as Belfast, in Northern Ireland, Edinburgh in Scotland, right down to Southampton, Bournemouth and Brighton on the south coast and bringing literally thousands of couples together at least fleetingly, this has surprised me, because Ivan was so determined right from the start that Rainey was the one for him and who can blame him she’s very attractive and an extremely good catch. We hope they will have many happy years together – they deserve it”
